STELIOS VOTSIS
Stelios Votsis was born in Larnaca in 1929.
He studied at the Saint Martins School of Arts, Sir John Cass College and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. He graduated in 1955 from the Slade School of Arts of the University of London.  He exhibited in:
1967 and 1972       The Biennial of Alexandria

1968 and 1972       The Biennial of Venice
1969                                        The International Exhibition of Graphic Arts in Lubliana ,Yugoslavia    and  the Biennial of Sao Paolo.
1970 and 1972       The International Exhibition of Graphic Arts in Bradford, England,                                and the Biennial of Graphic Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina
 
1970                                    The International Exhibition of Graphic Arts and Drawings in Rijeka,         Yugoslavia, The International Exhibition of Graphic Arts in Krakov,Poland, The International Exhibition of Graphic Arts in (Gamlebyen Gallery) in Oslo, Norway
1971                                     The International Exhibition of New Artists in New York
1972                                     The International Exhibition of Graphic Arts in Fredrikstadt, Norway , The International Exhibition of Graphic Arts in Frechey, Germany, The International Exhibition of caving (wood VI) of Geneva

He was awarded the Raskin prize in the European contest which was held in Ostende, Belgium in 1973.
Some of his paintings are in collections in the National Gallery of Greece, the National Bank of Greece, the Greek Ministry of Culture, the Commercial Bank of Greece, the Ore Museum, the Larnaca Municipal Gallery, at the Presidential Palace of Cyprus, the Ministry and Culture of Cyprus , the Central Bank of Cyprus, the Bank of Cyprus and in many other Public and Private collections in Greece and abroad.
