Caterina Cornaro with Ladies of Rank. An original 1882 and beautifully finished print from Chromolithograph entitled :- "Italian - 1400".from the Artwork of German Painter Albert Kretschmer. It consists of a pair of Images showing a total of 14 Men and women in the various dresses of their classes or stations, and has the footnote :-1, Pope - 2, Pope, in house costume - 3,4 Cardinals - 5, Canon - 6, Venetian of rank - 7, Female Citizen - 8, Peasant - 10 Queen of Cyprus - 9,11-14, Ladies of Rank.

The wonderful detail in this beautiful print is not captured by the scan. The print measures 240 x 195 mm ( 9.5 x 7.75 " ) approx. plus generous borders (not fully shown in the scan) . It is on good quality card with a blank reverse. There are a few handling marks which is a feature of items of great age. This print which is over 120 years old, would look superb mounted ( or matted ) and framed.
