12. Larnaca sketched from the Sea. 1878. 11x9 cms. "The town of Larnaca which stretches along the water's edge presents the usual Oriental features of a Levantine seaport, except that it is more sleepy and quiet than most of those towns. The mosques of the town are insignificant and, except for the presence of half a dozen minarets, one would almost suppose the population of Larnaca to be Christian, as the Greek churches are most conspicuous with their bell turrets.."
