16. Limassol. 1878. 23x7 cms. Limassol, a seaport town on the south coast of Cyprus, possessed quite a good harbour and was the seat of the wine trade during the 18th. and 19th. centuries. Limassol was generally thinly populated and according to the census in 1881 there were 6131 inhabitants. Of the 100 or so engravings in ILN and the Graphic, this is the only one of the 'village' of Limassol, hence,
